Lasers in Dentistry at RWTH Aachen University.

Thursday, 19th October 2020, in Aachen, Germany

RWTH and AALZ will again combine two modules together, Physics of Light (Optics), and Low-Level-Laser Therapy. The physics/optics module will run from 19.9. – 23.10.2020 and we will continue directly from 25.10. – 28.10.2020 with low-level therapy. This will reduce travel time and costs for prospective participants significantly.

Updated version: The 1st module (physics/optics) will be likely online only! Participants will not be required to attend class in Aachen in person. Exact lecture times will be defined in due time.

In cooperation with the Aachen Dental Laser Center (AALZ), RWTH International Academy offers the two year master program M. Sc. “Lasers in Dentistry”. This part-time course offers dentists the opportunity to become highly qualified specialists in the area of laser therapy. This postgraduate, executive education course combines lectures, skill training sessions, live OPs, tutorials and practical workshops.

Your Benefits

  • An understanding of the dental principles associated with the application of laser systems of various wavelengths

In standard academic studies in dentistry, dentists have never learned about dental laser technology and treatment concepts. Building on a university degree in dentistry, the necessary professional knowledge for laser applications in dental practice is taught at the highest academic level in theoretical lectures and practical teaching during this two-year Master course.

All important theories and application options pertaining to laser use in dentistry are taught. Participants obtain sound theoretical knowledge in lectures and seminars led by renowned, competent and experienced international scientists and practitioners.
